Lank gelede was daar 'n pragtige meisie wat aan die rand van 'n yslike groot woud gebly het. Haar verjaardagpresent van haar ouma was 'n mooi rooi mantel met 'n kappie. Die meisie was baie lief daarvoor en wou niks anders meer dra nie. Daarom het almal haar Rooikappie genoem. Eendag sê Rooikappie se mamma vir haar: “Ek het 'n paar eetgoed en 'n bottel wyn in die mandjie gepak. Jou ouma is siek. Vat dit vir haar, dit sal haar beter laat voel.”
